From a Dream to a Movement: Celebrating 9 Years of Fresh Voice Foundation
On November 4th, 2016, I called a meeting at Godshield’s place, inviting friends—Godwin Okoh, Unazi Godshield, Paddy Adoga, and Okwute Stephen joining virtually. I had caught a wave of passion; I saw the immense potential in us and the urgent need for young people to move from spectating to contributing.

Armed with a fifteen-page document, we birthed the Fresh Voice Foundation right there. The very next day, we launched.

That was my first shot at pioneering. We gave it everything—school tours, THE LIVE RIGHT, STAY ALIVE Campaign, five editions of the YOUNG LEADERS CONFERENCE, YOUTH ACTIVATION SEMINARS, and ACTIVATION MASTERCLASSES across cities.

We were young but driven, eager to share the little we knew and to partner with those who brought experience.

Today marks 9 years since that leap of faith. From those early, intense beginnings emerged what are now branded consulting and iRead Africa Consulting—offshoots of those foundational days.

This milestone reminds me: no improvement happens without beginning. If you don’t start, you forfeit the chance to grow.

Looking at the impact and possibilities today, I’m deeply grateful I dared to dream.

The last 13 years of my life have been the most purposeful yet, thanks to the voices that guided me and the shoulders that supported me.

I look forward excitedly to the next 13 years and all that God will do with and through our lives.

IT IS POSSIBLE 🙇
